Roxie and I thought the streaming video sites were fun. We logged on to YouTube and found videos of USC (my Alma Mater) libraries. Roxie especially liked the marching bands performance outside the library during exam week. Roxie is too young to remember studying for exams but liked the music.
Our trips to Hulu and Fancast were equally as entertaining. We are able to catch our favorite TV shows and some of our favorite movies. Roxie was disappointed that neither site carried broadcasts from the National Geographic Channel. How is she going to see missed episodes from the Dog Whisperer and Cesar Milan? (Roxie is really into the study of dog psychology.) Roxie was pleased that she could watch LA Confidential from Fancast. Russell Crowe is a favorite of Roxie's.
We think that all three sites could be useful for libraries for entertainment and education. Community libraries could record programs, upload to YouTube and link to Sno-Isle website.

Hi,
just a note to thank you for your mention of Fancast. We hope it is a useful and fun resource for your readers and please let us know any thoughts on how we can improve it. We think our content is unparalleled, and has offerings from an astounding list of content providers, including CBS, NBC, Fox, etc. Our list of TV shows alone is pretty amazing, everything from classics like "Mary Tyler Moore" and Dick Van Dyke" to current hits like "30 Rock" and Family Guy." You can see it at http://www.fancast.com/full_episodes
There's also some great movies playing (eg. "Fever Pitch" with Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon), and, again, totally free. Please don't hesitate to let us know of any ways we can improve the site.
Cheers,
Jim (for Fancast)
I was a little disappointed to find out Louise was a Trojan. I t just seems so, so, elitist. That said I have to say that this is by far my favorite blog so far...just the right balance of playfulness and serious commentary. Hmm, I wonder if I could steal the concept for my blog-- I do have a cat that sends phone messages and operates the printer. But she doesn't seem to have a sense of humor like Louise.
This is really clever! Do you think I could use the same concept with my cockatoo?
What a great dog! And, what a lovely name your dog has. Did you name her after me? ;)
